Yazidi temples feature distinctive conical fluted spires, centering around the holy sanctuary of Lalish, where pilgrims gather to honor Melek Taus, the Peacock Angel.
About Yazidi Sacred Sites
Yazidism is an ancient monotheistic religion practiced primarily by Yazidis. Yazidi sacred spaces are characterized by their conical, fluted stone spires. The most sacred site is the temple of Lalish in northern Iraq, a place of pilgrimage that houses the tomb of Sheikh Adi ibn Musafir.
