What to do now

Reservations are being released in periodic batches and waves rather than all at once. There is no separate Temples.org alert list; the authoritative source for new ticket releases and real-time availability is Temple Square itself.

  1. 1

    Check the official ticketing portal

Returned reservations can reappear at any time, and Temple Square periodically adds new blocks of inventory directly to the reservation system.

  2. 2

    Follow official updates and alerts

Temple Square provides email updates and app notifications. Following their official announcements is the best way to hear when major new ticket releases go live.

  3. 3

    Keep dates and times flexible

The open house runs for nearly six months across spring and summer 2027. Weekday sessions and mid-day hours typically offer greater flexibility than peak weekend slots.

Plan for the tour

Every tour ticket will be scanned. If you cannot use a reservation, return it through the ticketing system so another visitor can attend. Guests who arrive without a reservation may ask event staff about limited standby availability.

Accessibility and families

Language support, assistive listening, elevator routes, and accommodations for young children are available at every tour time. Dedicated ASL, blind and low-vision, and neurodiverse tours are scheduled from May through September.

Common questions

Are reservations still available?

Yes, additional ticket waves and returned reservations are actively made available. Following high demand during the initial launch, Temple Square has released additional waves of tickets and continues releasing inventory periodically. Returned reservations also reappear on the official ticketing portal as plans change.

Do I need a reservation to visit Temple Square?

No. The wider Salt Lake Temple Celebration is open without a reservation. A free reservation is recommended for the Salt Lake Temple open house tour, and limited walk-up availability will be first come, first served.

How many tickets can I reserve?

One individual reservation may include up to six tickets. Parties larger than six should use the group ticketing request form linked from the official ticketing page.

What if my preferred date is unavailable?

Check the official ticketing portal frequently for returned tickets and subsequent release waves. Visitors without a reservation may also ask event staff for standby entry on the day of their visit, though availability is not guaranteed.
